The Bible gives many examples of what is most important to God when we come to Him. He wants us to have our hearts set.
It is extremely vital that you frequently do a check up on exactly where your heart is in terms of your relationship with God. The state of your heart in terms of your life focus has a huge impact in how you live, your purpose, desires, communication with God, and also your entire future from an eternal point of view. The parable of the sower in Mark 4: 1-20; that Jesus Christ shared with his disciples to bring home the point of how the Gospel can impact different people according to the condition of their hearts. It is God’s desire to open our hearts to have relationship with Him, and His Word gives us a clear picture of what is required as citizens of his Kingdom.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6
Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart- Psalm 119:2
It is so clear that God our Father wants us to seek Him wholeheartedly, and that if we do, we will be blessed and find a clearness of path and purpose in our life. The parable of the sower gives a clear picture of how mankind responds to God’s request to be in bond with Him, and the responses are best understood by what condition your heart is in. I cannot emphasize how important it is to take a really hard look at yourself now and come to a decision about where you are, and most importantly, where you want to be.
God is far more interested in what we are inside than outside. As He told Samuel, “For the LORD does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” – 1 Samuel 16:7
